Are You Ready For "Eternity"? A Hot New Vampire Novel By Berengaria Brown

Scribal Love Welcomes Berengaria Brown!

What is the name of your novel?

“Eternity”

What first attracted you to writing vampire fiction?

I’d already written two books in this world, both with ghosts as secondary characters. Then one day one of the minor characters in both the previous books knocked on my head demanding his own story. Then he told me he was a vampire. I was quite surprised, but he did point out I’d given him a traditional Hungarian name.

Who is/are your main character(s) and is he/she a vampire?

This is an MMF ménage. Both the heroes are vampires: Atal, the man who demanded his story be told, and his partner, Tsadowq (Zadok). The heroine, Yolanda, is a human but she’s tough enough to keep them in line.

How would you describe your vampire character?  Is he/she a lover or fighter?  Is the beast within held at bay?  Or does he/she go with her passions?

Both the vampires are several hundred years old and have developed ways to adapt their environment to suit them. They only bite people who want to be bitten, gaining their nourishment in other ways the rest of the time. And they really, really appreciate a strong, tough woman, who is fit enough to keep up with them. They can both be very fierce when their woman is in danger, but mostly they are gentle and solve problems with their brains rather than their muscles.

What are your thoughts on some of the traditional weaknesses of vampires?  Sunlight, crosses, wooden stakes etc.  Did you incorporate any of that into your fiction?  If not what were some of the weaknesses that your character must avoid?

Because Atal and Zadak are older, they’ve planned their lives to blend in. Atal is the head of night-shift security at a big city office and apartment building. Zadok works in the financial sector online from home. That avoids them needing to be outside in sunlight much, although they don’t sparkle or melt, it’s just painful. The world-building in the book demonstrates the way they have adapted their lives to appear normal, to blend in.

Go crazy and tell us about your book!  Include an excerpt if you like!

“Eternity” is a stand-alone story set in the same world as “Intensity” and “Complexity” with some of the same characters reappearing.

Eternity Blurb

Yolanda is a bodyguard and used to dealing with men. But falling in love with two vampires is a different kind of challenge. How will she deal with her job AND them?

Yolanda is very attracted to night security guard Atal and his partner Zadok. She agrees to a morning of acrobatic sex with the two yummy men, only to find herself falling in love with them, and wondering if they are vampires—if vampires truly exist.

While working as a bodyguard with one of the building’s clients, Yolanda spends her free time with the vampires engaging in a lot of excellent sex and getting to know them and their stories. But one evening there is a kidnapping attempt on her client. Now they all have another problem to solve and Yolanda is frustrated by the vampires’ determination to protect her at all costs.

Eternity PG Excerpt

“Won’t you please come up to our apartment when I finish this shift, Yolanda? You know how much Tsadowq and I want to make love to you. We won’t do anything you don’t want, but we can promise you, anything we do, you will enjoy very, very much.”
Atal’s chocolate-brown eyes burned into her hazel ones, the lust in them scorching her to her soul.

Yolanda gulped in a deep, but shaky, breath. Her libido was screaming, “Hell, yes,” but her brain was saying, “Wait.” She hesitated.

Atal stepped out from behind the security desk on the concourse level of the Smith Tower building, and drew her gently into his arms. When she made no attempt to resist him, he pulled her tightly against his body, grinding his cock into her belly. He bent his head and possessed her mouth in a torrid, carnal kiss that took the last of her breath away and left her knees wobbling so badly, it was lucky he was holding her tightly, or she may just have melted into a puddle on the floor.

Yolanda dropped her gym bag to the carpet, wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and rubbed her aching nipples over the hard wall of his chest. Their mouths parted for the merest moment as they both dragged air into their lungs, then Atal’s head bent once more, as he dived in for another kiss. This time, his tongue explored her mouth, running along the insides of her cheeks and behind her teeth before tangling with her tongue.

“Fuck, woman, you’re hot. Feel how much I need you.” Atal’s cock burned hot even through his uniform pants and her jeans. And hard. And huge. God, she wanted to feel that inside her. It had been so damn long since she’d had a real live cock in her. Not to mention how scrumptious Atal looked. Over six feet tall to her five-four, olive skin compared to her pasty whiteness, short black curls she wanted to run her fingers through, and a long, lean, muscled runner’s body she wanted to grab on to. And Zadok was just as yummy. He was almost as tall as Atal but stockier and heavily muscled, with black hair and eyes and tanned skin.

“Okay, you’ve convinced me. Another kiss like that and you’ll be calling the cleaning crew to scrape me off the carpet because I’ll have melted!

Erotic Romance Author Berengaria Brown Shares Her Sizzling Novel "Feels So Good'

Scribal Love Welcomes Berengaria Brown

Berengaria is an author of erotic romance.  Her newest work “Feels So Good” is available from Evernight Publishing.

Hi tell us a little about yourself.  How long have you been writing?  Do you write full time?

Sadly, like most authors, the day job is a fact of my life.

However most of my free time is spent at the keyboard writing or reading romance.

My 26th erotic romance released in February which was quite exciting. I write for several different publishers so that means I sometimes have several books out close together, which is what happened in February. The release date for “Feels So Good” had been set since before Christmas, but another book at a different publishing house was brought forward from a 1 April release date and I ended up with two books releasing on the same day. Which was AWESOME!

So what is the name of your new book?  And what genre is it in?

“Feels So Good” is a contemporary two men one woman ménage.
It's part of the Sex Odyssey series by Amarinda Jones and Berengaria Brown. Each is a stand-alone story focusing on the journey of the heroine, but set in the same place and with various characters appearing across different books. My first book in the series, “Three For The Road” was a Night Owl Top Pick.

Tell us about your new book.  What is it about?

Yasmin meets Pearce and VJ in the trailer park at Resort City. She's traveling until she runs out of money, when instead, she runs into the two yummiest men she's ever seen. She's never had ménage sex before, but with these two men it's bound to be excellent.

The sex is awesome, but when she witnesses a robbery the men become possessive, demanding and over-protective. Will this be the end of her sex odyssey? Or will she be forced to teach them a lesson?

Can you give us a blurb and an excerpt? (One page excerpt)

“Come on, lazy. Time for a walk before breakfast.” VJ pulled her into a semi-upright position.

“It’s barely dawn. How about you go for a walk, and wake me when you get back,” she suggested.

Two strong arms hauled her from the bed and threw her clothes to her. Automatically she caught them and began dressing. “I haven’t had a shower yet,” she complained.

“First we walk, then we shower, then breakfast,” said VJ.

“Bossy britches,” she sighed, scrambling into her shorts, and running her fingers through her tangled curls.

Outside the air was crisp and clean with a salty tang. Resort City had been built on reclaimed swampland so the salt was always close to the surface, but Yasmin liked the harsh, clear scent of the hardy plants that appreciated salty soil. The sky was a bright blue, the sun shone, and, despite Yasmin’s comment, dawn had happened several hours earlier.

Yasmin took a deep breath, loving the early morning air. Besides, who could argue when they were walking between the delectable VJ and Pearce—even though he was wearing a shirt this morning.

Maybe half a mile from the trailer park was a small beach. It was a nice little beach that shelved steeply into the water, so it was not over-run with families and kids. Between the walking track and the sand was a row of dunes. As they neared the first dune, Yasmin took off running. She sprinted up the side of the dune on an angle so as not to get her feet bogged. Still moving fast she reached the top of the dune and ran along it, jumping from it to the next dune, and from the second dune to the third and so on, all along the beach. She had to keep moving fast or she’d lose momentum. But once the runner had a rhythm, it was a real adrenalin rush, pounding across the sand and flying through the air.

On the final dune she slowed, then came to a stop and turned around to look back. VJ and Pearce had decided to come after her. VJ was halfway up the first dune, lying on the sand laughing. While she watched, Pearce took a flying leap from dune one to dune two, but he’d slowed down so she was not at all surprised to see him stumble and roll down the side of the dune.

Yasmin placed her hands on her hips and laughed out loud. Adrenaline still charging her body, she ran down her dune and back to where the men were on their respective dunes.

“Never tried dune jumping before? Need a few tips?” she asked, unable to keep the amusement out of her voice.

“As soon as I got bogged and fell, I worked out you’d gone up at a forty-five degree angle. You made it look so damn easy you little witch,” VJ said, grabbing her and pulling her down onto the sand beside him.

“I dunno what the hell I did wrong,” said Pearce, “but I’m sure you’re both about to tell me.”

“Speed.”

“Too slow.” VJ’s answer came at the same time as Yasmin’s.

“You can’t stop. You need to be judging how far to jump without slowing down to look. And these dunes are easy, they’re so close together. You can’t miss.”

“You can’t miss. Likely I’ll end up on my ass again. Let’s do it.” Pearce thrust out a hand to each of the others and hauled them to their feet, then they all walked down the track a little way to get a running start.

Once again, Yasmin took off, racing up the sand, then jumping from one dune to the next along the beach, rejoicing in the exhilarating feeling of flying through the air, soaring like a bird, and landing to continue running.

This time, the guys had a better idea of what to do, and while not precisely soaring like birds, they managed to complete the line without falling flat on their faces. By their third try they were flying as competently as she, and after that they took another turn just to prove they could do it.

“That was great!” VJ panted, sinking to the sand and drawing the others down with him.

“These dunes are perfect because they’re in a line and not too far apart. It can get tricky when they’re more like hills dotted around, and you need to plan how to get from one to the next,” she replied.

“Now I need a swim to cool off,” said Pearce, kicking off his shoes and pulling off his shirt before walking down to the water’s edge. “Come on.”

Are there more books we should look out for?  Say a series or other books you have written?

The other books in this series are “Hush” by Amarinda Jones

Erotic Lesbian and Gay Fiction Author, Berengaria Brown discusses her sexy book "Dogged Pursuit"

Scribal Love Welcomes Berengaria Brown!

Berengaria Brown is an author of erotic romance, mainly ménage, male/male, and some female/female. Her werewolf shifter male/male story, “Dogged Pursuit," is available from Torquere and has received 4.5 and 4.75 star reviews.

What is the name of your latest book?  And how did you come up with the title?

“Dogged Pursuit” is the story of Dwyer, a werewolf shifter, who is in love, and doggedly pursues the main he is certain is his mate, Nelson. The title just seemed to fit the story, a werewolf, a pursuit, and is a bit different.

What is this book about?  And what genre is this book in?

This is an erotic male/male romance, set at Halloween.

How long have you been writing in this genre?

I have been writing male/male since the beginning, but my first few books have male/male as just part of a two men/one woman ménage.

This is my first werewolf story. I was thinking about writing a werewolf book for Halloween and Dwyer said he wanted his mate so that was awesome. Then he told me he was gay, and that was a surprise, since most werewolf pairings are male/female. Fortunately, Nelson turned up in time to make them both get their happy ever after.

Who is/are the main characters?  And why did you choose them?

My characters imply arrive in my head. I was quite surprised to find Dwyer was gay.

In your opinion, what makes a good story?

I must care about the characters. I don't like plot holes and inconsistencies, but I can deal with them as long as the characters have engaged me in their story.

Can you give us a quick taste of what's inside?

Dwyer is a two-hundred-year-old werewolf currently working as a limo driver. He's enticed by the scent of a man he has to take into the city. The man's smell overwhelms him and calls to him “mate”. Yet he thought only a male and a female could mate, and he is gay. Nelson is equally attracted to Dwyer and the two spend a very hot night together.

However their second date is on Halloween and Dwyer is really struggling to keep his wolf under control. Their new relationship is derailed by a group of wanna-be vampires robbing an elderly couple and the elderly couple strongly believe Dwyer is their pet dog come back to life, because it is Samhain.

How is Dwyer going to get himself out of this mess? And what will Nelson's reaction be? Can they possibly have a future together now?

Is this book a part of a series?  And if so what can we look for in the future?

I am planning to write more werewolf stories and several people have asked me to write what happens next, so maybe...

Do you have anything specific you would like to say to your readers?

Thank you so much for reading my stories. Readers make an author's life worthwhile.

Erotic Romance Author Berengaria Brown Discusses Her Book "Dinner Delights"

Scribal Love Welcomes Berengaria Brown

Berengaria Brown is an author of erotic romance, mainly ménage, male/male and lesbian. Her only one man/one woman book is available from Breathless Press.

What is the name of this book?  And how did you come up with the title?

“Dinner Delights” is a short story that begins at a formal, boring work dinner, then moves to Krystal’s apartment afterward, so the name seemed to encapsulate the story.

What is this book about?  And what genre is this book in?

This is a contemporary short story.

Two workmates. A boring dinner function. An explosion of lust. Will it lead to love?
Krystal is thrilled when Troy asks her to be his seatmate at a boring work dinner. He is a totally yummy hunk, whom she has loved forever.

When they dance, their passions combust and they rush back to her apartment to take their relationship to the next level: from friends to lovers.

Their night together is better than anything Krystal had ever imagined. But can it last? What will happen tomorrow?

Who is/are the main characters?  And why did you choose them?

Krystal and Troy. My characters always choose themselves, they just turn up in my head, demanding their story be told.

What is the coolest or best part about your book?  (Any Favorite scenes, the world-building etc.

Troy is a yummy hunk. Everyone would like a date with him. Krystal is an ordinary woman, a little overweight, a little socially inept. But she adores Troy who is her very best friend at the office. The fact that Troy chooses her as his partner for the dinner encourages every ordinary woman to believe that there will be a romance for her.

Do you have a favorite character in the book?  If so, why?

Because it is such a short story, really only the hero and heroine are fully developed characters. And I wouldn’t dare choose between them.

Is this book part of a series?  If so? What can we expect in future books?

“Dinner Delights” is the first of my three books at Breathless Press. Each book explores a different genre. “Loving Lydia” is an erotic lesbian short story, designed for people who have never read that genre before. “Carnal Connections” is a ménage with three men, again, a short story aimed at people interested in exploring different genres.

If not?  Are you considering expanding it?

Because “Dinner Delights” is so short there are no secondary characters crying out for their own book.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

These short stories are purposely designed to give readers a taste of a genre. They are not meant as full-length books with a lot of plot and world building. They are brief tastes to see if the reader would like to try a full-length book. If you do decide to embrace erotic romance I have longer books at other publishers.

Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

It is very hard to write a short book. Every word has to add to the story. With longer books the author has more space to play around with ideas.

Do you have a publisher?  And if so, why did you choose them?

I write for several different publishers, with each genre at a publisher that specializes in that genre.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

Jaid Black introduced me to erotic romance, Georgette Heyer to historicals.

What books are you reading now?

Tracy Cooper Posey, “Blue Knight”; Anny Cook, “Blue Paradise; Penn Halligan, “Who Dares Sins”; and a holiday anthology, “Twas a Dark and Delicious Christmas”.

What are the current writing projects that you are working on?

I have just contracted a series with Amarinda Jones called “Sex Odyssey” about people on vacation who meet at a fictitious town. Amarinda wrote three of the books in the series and I wrote the other three.

Do you write full time?  If not, do you hope to do so one day?

I think every author dreams of being on the New York Times best seller list and writing all day. Unfortunately, like most authors, the day job is a reality for me.

Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

I read a lot of books all the time. At one stage there were no new books that interested me and I was tired of re-reading my favorites, so I sat down and decided to write a book. I took writing seriously, treated it as a job, and researched publishers carefully. I tried very hard to submit my book as they had asked and to follow their guidelines. Apparently it worked, because my books were accepted and by the end of 2010 I will have 20 published books.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Always for me the plot is the most difficult part. It is clear in my head, but harder to ensure there are no inconsistencies or plot holes on paper.

Do you have any advice for other writers seeking to get published for the first time?

Keep reading. Keep writing. Keep submitting. But also research the publishers and submit your book to houses that publish books similar to yours. Follow the submission guidelines as best you can. And good luck.
