If Life Were A Movie What Film Would Dean Winchester Choose? A Lesson In Monster Love...

I probably like most of his admirers thought it would be something out of the Casa Adult Film series he admires so much.  His little brother knew better.  It would be Porky's 2: The Next Day.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the 1983 movie here is a quick summary...

The naughty high schoolers of Angel Beach High now seek revenge on a group of KKK religious fanatics and corrupt politicians who want to shut down their Shakespeare production after they cast a Seminole transfer student in the lead.

I wonder who Dean would have wanted to portray.  Or would he go as himself?  Either way this fun tid bit of information came from an episode of the tv show Supernatural entitled 'Monster Movie'.

This episode was a fun romp through a simulated 1950's horror film.  (Which works out really well since Dean's favorite, Porky's, takes place in the 1950's too.)

Anyway, somebody is murdering people in town in the same manner as monsters in the old horror movies, complete with props from a movie effects house.

Eventually Dean and his brother Sam find out who's behind the mysterious deaths in this small Pennsylvania town... a very lonely man who happens to be a shapeshifter.

This guy can turn into anything he wants in the world and he chooses old Dracula, Were Wolf and Mummy movies!  Because they were powerful romantic leads and in his eyes they too should have gotten the girl.

As a writer and reader of romance fiction, it's kind of weird for me to see a shapeshifter portrayed as a baddie because in so many of the stories I read, the shapeshifters are the good guys!

By the way despite this guy's desperate infatuation for the girl (who has the hots for Dean), he does not get her in the end.  Mostly because he is crazy, a killer and he hit her in order to silence her while still professing his love!

The way I see it, all things being equal, if this guy had wanted to take some real lessons on monster love, he should have taken a look at a couple of these books...

I'm sure if he had read these and taken notes, he would have much better results.  Happy Hunting!
