Erotic Lesbian and Gay Fiction Author, Berengaria Brown discusses her sexy book "Dogged Pursuit"

Scribal Love Welcomes Berengaria Brown!

Berengaria Brown is an author of erotic romance, mainly ménage, male/male, and some female/female. Her werewolf shifter male/male story, “Dogged Pursuit," is available from Torquere and has received 4.5 and 4.75 star reviews.

What is the name of your latest book?  And how did you come up with the title?

“Dogged Pursuit” is the story of Dwyer, a werewolf shifter, who is in love, and doggedly pursues the main he is certain is his mate, Nelson. The title just seemed to fit the story, a werewolf, a pursuit, and is a bit different.

What is this book about?  And what genre is this book in?

This is an erotic male/male romance, set at Halloween.

How long have you been writing in this genre?

I have been writing male/male since the beginning, but my first few books have male/male as just part of a two men/one woman ménage.

This is my first werewolf story. I was thinking about writing a werewolf book for Halloween and Dwyer said he wanted his mate so that was awesome. Then he told me he was gay, and that was a surprise, since most werewolf pairings are male/female. Fortunately, Nelson turned up in time to make them both get their happy ever after.

Who is/are the main characters?  And why did you choose them?

My characters imply arrive in my head. I was quite surprised to find Dwyer was gay.

In your opinion, what makes a good story?

I must care about the characters. I don't like plot holes and inconsistencies, but I can deal with them as long as the characters have engaged me in their story.

Can you give us a quick taste of what's inside?

Dwyer is a two-hundred-year-old werewolf currently working as a limo driver. He's enticed by the scent of a man he has to take into the city. The man's smell overwhelms him and calls to him “mate”. Yet he thought only a male and a female could mate, and he is gay. Nelson is equally attracted to Dwyer and the two spend a very hot night together.

However their second date is on Halloween and Dwyer is really struggling to keep his wolf under control. Their new relationship is derailed by a group of wanna-be vampires robbing an elderly couple and the elderly couple strongly believe Dwyer is their pet dog come back to life, because it is Samhain.

How is Dwyer going to get himself out of this mess? And what will Nelson's reaction be? Can they possibly have a future together now?

Is this book a part of a series?  And if so what can we look for in the future?

I am planning to write more werewolf stories and several people have asked me to write what happens next, so maybe...

Do you have anything specific you would like to say to your readers?

Thank you so much for reading my stories. Readers make an author's life worthwhile.

  3. Werewolves is a topic I love! I love writing and reading about them, as well as researching the legends, lore. Even today doctors have finally recognized the mental condition of lycanthropy. Very fascinating!
